Yes I have been missing in action. So very busy. We were out of town this weekend visiting friends in Kansas City. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge for one night then their house the second night before driving home back to the Lou. The Lodge was amazing. Our room was incredible with two queen beds, a microwave, mini fridge, two bathrooms, a balcony, fireplace and a staircase that leads to a loft with another queen bed. It fit all 8 of us comfortably. The best part of course about staying there was the huge indoor waterpark. We had so much fun with our kids. They were both going down all the waterslides and each of them loved the hot tub. The waterpark is fantastic. They provide their own life vests for the kids and there is a snack bar for various snacks, pizza and beer (most important). There was a show in the lobby for the kids with a storytime, a gift shop, a restaurant and a sweets/desserts/starbucks in the lobby. We probably could have stayed there one more night but it was a little expensive. The kids still got two days of swimming. They were worn out.
Saturday my friend and I went shopping at the Legends. It’s a mix of outlet and regular stores. The Gymboree outlet and the Osh Kosh B’Gosh were my biggest hits. I really wanted to go back the next day and take J to the T. Rex restaurant but JT was worried I would spend more money so he wouldn’t take us back. That night we stayed at our friends house in K.C. and they invited some other friends over from JT’s past (college) for some barbecued hamburgers and other yummy food.
Sunday we headed home and made pretty good time but we sure had a blast. We are thinking of going back in January for some more waterpark fun. Possibly this time we will try CoCo Key instead. Here’s some pics from this weekend. Warning… they are unedited and blurry but still fun.

I can’t tell you in words how much fun we all had. Me with all the family time good friends and shopping, JT with all the male bonding, beer and sports, L with the girls and playing till she dropped and J with the waterslides, video games and playing. Thanks guys for having us.
