We had a fantastic and relaxing playdate today. We were joined by SK and her family over at Where Life Becomes Art and our friends from preschool BA and her son (Ish). We headed out to Castlewood State Park to have a picnic, run and play and also to search the beach for shells.
The kids had so much fun running around and picking up sticks. J took almost all of his Batman toys for he and Ish to play with, he was so excited to have a boy to play with today. The weather was spectacular, a little cool when we arrived but sunny and warm just a tad later. All of the moms sat on a couple blankets and relaxed while the kids just ran and played, it was so relaxing to not have to worry about them. Picnic lunch followed and then we headed over to the beach but it was flooded so there was only a little patch of sand and hardly any shells but who cares!!! They played in the sand with their shovels and buckets. SK’s kids were covered in sand and BA had a hard time keeping Ish out of the water.
The highlight of my day… SK brough along a second DSL for me to play with today. I cannot wait to see how the pictures turned out. I had so much fun, it’s all I have talked about since I got back. I am sure JT is sick of hearing about it. Here are some pictures from my puny point and shoot. It’s not quite as fun. 🙂
Such a fun day. We have a playdate tomorrow with our cousins so I am sure there will be more pictures 🙂 Thanks again SK for letting me play with your camera.
