Pumpkin Field Trip

Today was L’s first field trip of the year. We went to Stuckmeyers, again! It’s such a great place, it really was no biggie to be returning (we went last week with my mom). It was COLD this morning. I had on a sweatshirt and a coat and was freezing. Poor L had on a turtleneck, t-shirt and a coat and she was shivering like crazy. By the end of the trip we were all hot. Welcome to STL weather.

We waited for a while to board a tractor and did the tractor ride which all of the kids love. Afterwards we played on the playground, it’s really hard to keep track of your own child on that playground there let alone all the other students. In fact one poor mom couldn’t find her son, he was in the maze, thank goodness they are the only ones out there with bright yellow shirts.

After playing we headed to pick out our pumpkins and then for a snack and juice. We were totally bombarded by bees. L and her friend had them all over the place. One was crawling on her little friends fingers and I kind of freaked out, it kept crawling in and out of her fingers and her mom was taking their pumpkins to the car so I kind of just yelped for some help. This big firefighter dad comes over swats it on the ground and just steps on it, I kind of looked at him like thanks but I could’ve done that if I had kept it together. Yeah right. Here are pics:

I’m not a huge fan of this picture but it’s okay, it’s proof that I was in attendance.

Cutest picture of her after coming down the slide

The girls held hands walking through the inflatable haunted house, but in this pic they had just been scared by one of the dads.

At last but not least, a picture of the class.

  1. How fun! Pictures like the last one make me miss teaching even more. Kids are just great.
