Wouldn’t you think???

With Christmas only 66 days left til Christmas I started thinking today about fun things to do around STL around the holidays. I figured we could do a Breakfast with Santa this year, I may have been wrong.

In this economy don’t you think that special events would be lowering their prices a tad… We were looking into taking the kids to a Breakfast with Santa event. We are members at the garden so we decided to look into that one first. It costs $64 plus you have to bring mittens and a hat for underprivileged kids, that’s not the hard part. The hard part would be giving them that much money so my kids can eat a waffle with Santa.

So I checked the Zoo’s Breakfast with Santa. With that event you receive a picture of you and your family with Santa, other costumed characters visit, a goody bag and breakfast. We aren’t members to the Zoo anymore so this would cost our family $84. Or if that’s not enough fun you can do dinner with Santa and our total for 4 for that one would be $92.

As much as I want to take my children to one of the events I will have to think long and hard before I decide. Would you go? If you’ve gone in the past is it worth the money?

  1. Hubs and I were just talking about this. We were going to go see a Christmas show but it is just so darn expensive. So we are going to start a family tradition of our own this year. We are going to have a popcorn/Christmas movie night each week in December and get a different treat for BG. $84 is a bit much for breakfast. You should get friends together all chip in to rent a costume and someone could dress up. The kids will love anything you do! Let us know what you decide.
