My new favorite movie

open-season.jpgYou will probably all think I have lost my mind. But this is my new favorite movie it’s been out for a while and it’s a kids movie. But the darn thing makes me giggle like a fool. Yes that’s right… a fool! Plus it makes J giggle too and I love to hear that baby giggle. Eliot (Ashton Kutcher) and Boog (Martin Lawrence) are so fricking hilarious, but Ashton Kutcher steals the movie, in my opinion. The kids love to watch this movie in the car and needless to say it is quite entertaining to listen too while I drive. I catch on to way more of the funny one liners than you do if you just sit and watch it. Here is the synopsis of the movie:

A happily domesticated grizzly bear named Boog, has his perfect world turned upside down after he meets Elliot, a scrawny, fast-talking one-horned wild mule deer. They both end up stranded together in the woods during hunting season and it’s up to the duo to rally all the other forest animals and turn the tables on the hunters.

Well, enough said here is my favorite scene from the movie. Boog likes his owner Beth to sing to him the Teddy Bear Picnic song before he goes to bed each night and his doll Mr. Dinkelman plays the melody – when left in the woods there is no one to sing it to him so he asks Elliot (who doesn’t know the words) to sing it to him.

In case you wanted to know, here are the words that Elliot (Ashton Kutcher) is singing:

Once there was a magical elf / Who lived in a rainbow tree / He lived downstairs from a flatulent dwarf / Who was constantly having to pee / One day the elf could take no more / So he went and banged on the rude dwarf’s door / And what do you know / They suddenly both… were married.
