Works for Me Wednesday - Disney Mom’s Panel
January 30, 2008 by hotomom
Oooh this is a cool one I just discovered. It’s only for those that are planning or thinking about planning a trip to Disney World. Check out the new Mom’s Panel on the Disney World website. It’s awesome. They answer all kinds of questions… for instance I asked them about the difficulty of getting a stroller onto the different types of transportation. They answered right away. Pretty cool. So if you are planning a trip check it out.
For those of you that don’t know me I am always prepared and right now I have dived deeply into planning our trip with two toddlers. So I am always taking suggestions on how to make it memorable and fun.
Check out everyone else’s helpful tips at Rocks in My Dryer.

Thank you, thank you for the tip. We are going in June and I HAVE started planning … at least in my head. I want to be so prepared .. we have an 11, 2, and 1 year old going. Yikes .. seven days of … well I pray fun!
We LOVE going to Disney World. We’ve gone several times with little ones & it’s worth it!
I am so glad the tip was helpful. It’s a lot of fun to just sit and read.
Disney World is so much fun. We are planning another trip there.

Oh, oh, oh. I have got THE suggestion for you. We went to Disneyland in 2006 with a 6 year old and a 4 year old. We had 2 1/2 days to enjoy the park and I wanted to get the most out of our time. (I used to live a mile from Disneyland so I know how the lines can be.) Well, I bought the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland and followed its suggestions. We had the most wonderful experience because of it. I’ve been there a lot in my life so I KNOW how much better this trip was. The book tells you details about every ride that a mom needs (what the ride is like, where to find it, the scare factor or how suitable it is for kids, etc.) It tells you how and when to use fast track passes. It gives reviews of the restaurants, their basic menu, when to go to avoid the rush, and the cost. It tells you about the shows and when to go for the best seating or view. It gives detailed schedules of what to do when (including directions so you can easily find the next ride from the exit of the previous) so you have the shortest line waits and get to see the most…including schedules geared to young families. I took my book with me in the park so I could have the schedule we followed and reviews on hand. If it sounds scheduled and unfun, it isn’t. It really does let you see and enjoy more without feeling rushed and stressed. My husband had a hard time wanting to follow it so we didn’t on the second day and I was so disappointed by how much we did compared to how much we would have done if we followed their suggestions. Here’s the link to amazon for the Disney World version. It’s NOT an affiliate link so I make no money whatsoever by suggestion it to you.

Have fun!
